2023 Audi Q5 you certainly have a lot of options when it comes to small luxury SUVs. Audi, for its part, expects you to opt for the 2023 Audi Q5 2023. Taking its place between the smaller Q3 and the three-row Q7, the 2023 Audi Q5 offers the hallmarks Audi has come to expect from a quality cabin design, standard all-wheel drive, and plenty of technological features.

There’s even a plug-in hybrid powertrain that offers powerful power plus about 23 miles of electric range. This is an expensive model, but the available tax credits can help offset the cost. And frequent refilling can help save gas.

2023 Audi Q5 Review

The 2023 Audi Q5 is like the Apple iPhone in the SUV world: known for its precise build quality, good performance, and refined looks. Other luxury SUVs offer similar tech features and more striking styling, but the 2023 Audi Q5 is guaranteed to satisfy—at least for drivers who don’t mind bland handling.

2023 Audi Q5

A trio of powertrains is offered, starting with the 201-hp turbocharged four-cylinder that comes standard with Quattro all-wheel drive. The four more powerful 261-hp are optional, as is the 362-hp plug-in hybrid, both of which provide fast, fast acceleration.

Technophiles rather than enthusiastic drivers seem to be the target audience of the 2023 Audi Q5, as it offers lots of digital-friendly features and driver assistance.

If you’re like us and prefer something more vibrant, the performance-oriented 2023 Audi S2023 Audi Q5 (reviewed separately) might be your go-to. Otherwise, be aware that rivals like the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Porsche Macan offer more driver engagement, but both have a higher starting price than the 2023 Audi Q5.

2023 Audi Q5 has changed several features in this year’s 2023 Audi Q5 lineup, starting with making adaptive cruise control standard on all models.

The Premium Plus trim now comes with a Bang and Olufsen stereo system and the “55” plug-in hybrid model gets OLED taillights. Chronos Gray has been replaced by Quantum Gray in the 2023 Audi Q5 exterior color palette as well.

  • Cargo volume: 25.85 ft³, 54.06 ft³ with seat area

2023 Audi Q5 Specs

On the performance front, the base-level turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder for the new 2023 Audi Q5 produces 201 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque, while the available turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 produces 349 horsepower and 369 lb. -ft torque.

Performance tuning gives the four-cylinder option more power and torque (261 hp/273 lb-ft) with only a minimal drop in estimated fuel economy.

Also, the 2023 Audi Q5 offers a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model, which combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. It has a total system output of 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.

For acceleration, the gas-powered 2023 Audi Q5 has a 0-60 mph time of as low as 5.5 seconds, while the 2023 Audi Q5 PHEV completes the sprint in 4.5 seconds.

On the towing front, when properly equipped, the 2023 Audi Q5 can tow up to 4,400 pounds. In addition, all 2023 Audi Q5 models have an all-wheel drive system that improves traction.

For efficiency, the base 2023 Audi Q5 full gas engine has an estimated gas mileage of up to 23 mpg city/29 highway. The sport-tuned option reduces the estimated highway mpg to 28 mpg.

The V-6 engine offers significantly more power but reduces the estimated fuel economy to 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.

Additionally, the 2023 Audi Q5 PHEV has an estimated fuel economy of up to a combined 61 MPGe in electric mode and a combined 26 mpg in gas mode.

2023 Audi Q5 Interior

Audi Q5 2023 Interior cab is spacious whether you’re sitting in the front or back seat, and it’s easy to get in and out through the well-shaped door openings. We also like the superior driving position, which provides excellent outdoor visibility.

One downside is that the door-mounted armrests can feel too far apart to provide the desired support.

The standard 10.1-inch touchscreen looks great but sits at the top of the dashboard like a tacked tablet. There’s also no dial or touchpad controller, so you’ll need to poke and swipe, which requires more reach when you position the seat.

Some of our staff reminisce about the control knobs built into the previous generation’s 2023 Audi Q5 console, which were easy to hold.

Our 2023 Audi Q5 Prestige has very comfortable front sports seats with heating and ventilation. The pads are a bit too firm to be called plush but will provide welcome support on long journeys.

The cabin feels well built and completely isolated from the outside world. In particular, almost no wind noise was detected, even at highway speeds.

2023 Audi Q5 Interior driving comfort is satisfactory for its class, especially considering the respectable handling capabilities of the 2023 Audi Q5 and our test car’s 20-inch alloy wheels.

You glide across most surfaces, while major pavement imperfections are filled with smooth firmness that filters out harsh feedback.

2023 Audi Q5 Tech

Technology is a strong area for the Audi Q5 2023. The center touchscreen has a high-resolution display and feels responsive, although as mentioned, you might not like the range it takes to reach the screen.

The digital instrument panel is equally sharp and responsive — a seamless pairing with the center screen. Advanced driver aids also work well.

Adaptive cruise control is well calibrated on the freeway, and you’re unlikely to miss a flashing blind spot warning light.

While Apple CarPlay smartphone integration with wireless connectivity comes standard, we found the wired USB connection to be more consistent. Bluetooth compatibility is great, and our vehicles include a wireless charging station.

However, don’t expect much from the voice activation system, as it requires you to follow strict instructions.

2023 Audi Q5Feature

  1. Virtual Cockpit Plus
This is one of the most desirable options for the Audi 2023 Audi Q5. It is the digital gauge cluster that comes standard on the Premium Plus and Prestige 2023 Audi Q5 trim levels. In addition to the usual info you’ll find in gauge clusters like speed and RPM, this customizable display can show navigation data, entertainment info, road signs, and more.
  2. Wide Choice of Machines
The Audi Q5 2023 lets you choose your performance level. The base 4-cylinder turbocharged is available in two different settings. There’s a plug-in hybrid option capable of up to 61 MPGe, and the sporty 2023 Audi S2023 Audi Q5 excites drivers with a turbocharged V6.
  3. Body
Sportback The Sportback’s stylish body options give the Audi Q5 2023 the aesthetics of a “coupe” SUV. The body of the standard SUV has more cargo space, but its conservative styling runs the risk of blending into the crowd. The Sportback option has a sleek, stunning aesthetic that’s hard to overlook.
  4. Quattro All-Wheel Drive
The legendary Quattro all-wheel-drive (AWD) system comes standard on every Audi 2023 Audi Q5. Audi’s “Ultra” technology intelligently switches between front-wheel drive (FWD) and AWD depending on driving conditions. This improves all-weather traction and gives the driver a satisfying grip on exciting driving.
  5. 2023 Audi SQ
The high-performance Audi 2023 Audi S2023 Audi Q5 adds a lot of fun to this premium SUV. On top of the muscular turbocharged V6 under the hood, it brings upgraded brakes and an adaptive damping suspension. If you like aesthetics, consider the more affordable S Line model.
  6. MMI System Infotainment System
This high-tech standard infotainment is easy to use and features a stunning 10.1-inch screen. It comes with features like Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, HD Radio, and Wi-Fi hot spots. For the best audio quality, consider adding the Bang & Olufsen 19-speaker audio system, which is now standard on the Premium Plus and Prestige models.

2023 Audi Q5 Exterior – Audi Q5 Redesign

The Audi 2023 Audi Q5 speaks the brand’s design language with its conservative styling and handsome lightweight signature. This is a great-looking SUV for drivers looking for something luxurious but not too flashy.

The 2023 Audi Q5 is available with a standard SUV body or a Sportback SUV “coupe” body.

The Sportback has a sloping roofline, giving it a sporty look that stands out. The S Line and 2023 Audi S2023 Audi Q5 models pack a sporty look with custom wheels, unique trim, and an aggressive body kit.

The size of the Audi 2023 Audi Q5 is in line with the compact luxury SUV class. It’s almost the same size as the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class.

2023 Audi Q5 MPG

The Audi Q5 2023 45 TFSI gets an EPA estimate of 25 mpg in combined driving (23 city/28 highway), a good number for its class. We backed it up on our standard 115-mile evaluation route by getting 27.9 mpg in real-world driving.

2023 Audi Q5 Engine

The 2023 2023 Audi Q5 40 features a standard 201-hp turbocharged four-cylinder, seven-speed automatic transmission, and Quattro all-wheel drive. Stepping up to the 45 model boosts horsepower to 261.

The four turbos provide plenty of punch to propel the 2023 Audi Q5 45 around town or blast off the highway on the highway, and it’s smooth, quiet, and melodious. On our test track, the 2023 Audi Q5 45 delivered speeds of 5.5 seconds to 60 mph.

The plug-in-hybrid variant adds an electric motor that boosts output to a combined 362 horses and 369 lb-ft of torque, which helps it stop 4.5 seconds at 60 mph. In our hands, it beat the performance-oriented 2023 Audi S2023 Audi Q5 Sportback by 0.3. second.

The luxury suspension of this compact crossover is well damped and provides a stable feeling no matter the road or driving conditions. The ride is smooth and controlled—with or without the optional adaptive suspension—even on pockmarked asphalt.

Steering is accurate and lightweight but provides no visual feedback from the front wheels. In Dynamic drive mode, the steering feels heavier but still artificial.

Drop the 2023 Audi Q5 down two twisty lanes and it’ll handle it pretty well, but the Porsche Macan will show you a much better time.

2023 Audi Q5 Engine & Transmission

Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine power most Audi 2023 Audi Q5 models. The 40 TFSI model produces 201 horsepower, but at 45 TFSI, the sportier setup delivers more power and torque with little fuel economy.

This same turbocharged engine is at the heart of the plug-in hybrid model 55 TFSI e. It adds an electric motor for added power and torque, but the extra weight hampers its performance a bit. It can reach 23 miles on electricity alone.

Lastly, the 2023 Audi S2023 Audi Q5 is powered by a turbocharged V6 with similar performance figures to a plug-in hybrid but at a lower weight. S-specific braking and suspension systems add to the thrill.

2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 (40 TFSI)
201 horsepower @ 6000 rpm
Torque 236 lb-ft @ 1600 rpm
EPA city/highway fuel economy: 23/29 mpg

2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 (45 TFSI)
261 horsepower @ 5000 rpm
Torque 273 lb-ft @ 1600 rpm
EPA city/highway fuel economy: 23/28 mpg

2.0 liter turbocharged inline-4/permanent-magnet electric motor (55 TFSI e)
362 horsepower @ 5000 rpm (combined)
369 lb-ft of torque (combined)
All-electric range: 23 miles
EPA combined fuel economy: 61 MPGe (gasoline & electric), 26 mpg (gas only)

3.0-liter turbocharged V6 (2023 Audi S2023 Audi Q5)
349 horsepower @ 5400 rpm
torque 369 lb-ft @ 1370 rpm
EPA city/highway fuel economy: 19/24 mpg

2023 Audi Q5 Performance

The 2023 Audi Q5 is in the guise of 45 TFSI, which means it has a 261-hp engine. Even though the 2023 Audi Q5 put up a competitive number on our test track, accelerating to 60 mph in 6 seconds flat, it was hit-or-miss in the real world.

Once the turbo spins and you’re in the right gear, there’s a nice smooth tug to the red line worthy of an Audi badge. But the transmission can be slow to use and sometimes feels wobbly.

It’s an adequate powertrain, but the reflexes aren’t sharp. Braking is the opposite — the pedals are tight and there’s plenty of brake force as soon as you ask for it.

Push the 2023 Audi Q5 to its limits on winding roads and you’ll get a good grip and impressive composure.

Although the Quattro 2023 Audi Q5 with its Ultra tech all-wheel-drive system defaults to front-wheel drive under normal circumstances, we noted its desire to send power to the rear during enthusiastic driving. This helps give this luxury SUV some satisfying athleticism.

2023 Audi Q5 Price

The Audi 2023 Audi Q5 2023 starts at $43,500 for the base TFSI 40 model. The more powerful S Line 45 TFSI model starts at $46,000, and the S Line 55 TFSI e plug-in hybrid model starts at $55,400. The V6-powered 2023 Audi S2023 Audi Q5 starts at $55,800.

For the Sportback body, the S Line 45 TFSI starts at $50,300, and the 2023 Audi S2023 Audi Q5 starts at $59,200.

Prices can go up when you upgrade to Premium Plus and Prestige trims, and adding individual options and options packages can further increase the price. A fully charged 2023 Audi Q5 can cross the $70,000 mark.

A destination fee of $1,195 applies to all 2023 Audi Q5 models.

The price of the 2023 Audi Q5 is similar to that of other German compact luxury SUVs, namely the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. Some of the more affordable options in this class worth considering include the Acura RDX, Lexus NX, Genesis GV70, and Lincoln Corsair.

Audi distinguishes the 2023 Audi Q5 powertrain with numbers 40, 45, and 55, the first two referring to the standard turbo four and the third indicating an optional plug-in hybrid setup.

We’ll let you choose between the regular 2023 Audi Q5 and the coupe-like 2023 Audi Q5 Sportback, but we recommend sticking with the mid-range 45 models. Of all these, the mid-range Premium Plus trim offers the best balance of features and price and comes standard with Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital gauge display.

2023 Audi Q5 The Audi Q5 2023 is a refined and refined premium minimal hybrid SUV that is set in opposition to similarly proficient extravagance opponents like the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, Lexus RX, Lincoln Corsair, and Acura RDX.

To stay up with this respect, the 2023 Q5 highlights a business-class inside, an arrangement of motors that underlines everything from solid efficiency to unadulterated execution, alongside a decision of standard or Sportback body styles.

The 2023 Q5 Sportback highlights a tightened last part to give it a more bigoted, more roadster-like outline — the tradeoff is less freight space than you get in the standard Q5.

Straight from an outside redesign and infotainment update for the 2021 model year, and a broad trim mix and bigger battery arrangement in the module half breed variation for 2022, the Audi Q5 2023 is relied upon to remain the norm when it dispatches. coming to the powertrains and much appreciated.

That is not something awful, taking into account how intrigued we are consistent with the driving elements of this Audi SUV, its mechanical elements, and the Q5’s general impression of value and design.

A turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-chamber fills in as the base motor and sends 261 strength to every one of the four wheels because of the standard Q5 Quattro all-wheel-drive framework.

Audi Q5 purchasers have the choice of moving up to a module half-breed model that utilizes similar 4 chambers and matches it to an electric engine. Joined, these gas-electric powertrains convey a strong 362 torque and around 19 miles of EV range.

Sitting at the highest point of the Q5 arrangement is the dynamic SQ5, which is inspired by a 349-torque turbocharged 3.0-liter V6. While the speed is expanding, so is the cost, as a completely stacked SQ5 can cost around $20,000 more than the passage level Q5.

Value: We expect the cost of the Audi Q5 2023 to begin at around $46,000.

E-Tron Makes Spy Photo Debut, Already Has Production Body. Following the development of the Volkswagen Group’s EV portfolio turned into a full-time job.

Audi hasn’t even revealed the MEB-based Q4 E-Tron and Q4 Sportback E-Tron in production guise, but it is already testing a completely different zero-emissions SUV.

Our spies happened to be in the right place at the right time to capture the first batch of images with the Audi equivalent of the next-generation Porsche Macan.

Audi Q5 Redesign 2023 Prototype: Audi Q5 New Model 2023

2023 Audi Q5 Redesign The prototype appears to already have all the final body panels, though there’s no lower front grille while the base taillights were just a temporary setup used during testing. You can easily tell that this is an electric vehicle not only because of the absence of a visible exhaust tip but also because of the closed front grille because there is no combustion engine to cool.

Despite being completely dipped in camouflage, you can already tell that the electric crossover looks very different from current Audi Q vehicles with combustion engines.

The short overhang suggests it’s being developed from the ground up as an EV as opposed to the larger Audi Q5 Hybrid 2023, which is based on the MLB platform along with the Q7 and Q8.

Regarding the name, logic tells us that it will be christened the Q5 E-Tron as VAG already mentioned this name in a document published in November 2020.

A screenshot of that PDF has been attached below, showing Audi is planning a 2022 market launch when its next-gen Tigers are also maturing. Both will use the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) reserved for mid-range and larger EVs.

Little else is known about the Q5 E-Tron, but the German auto conglomerate has already shared some early details about the PPE platform. It will be slightly shorter than comparable MLB-based vehicles while offering more room inside thanks to a wider wheelbase, a smart battery pack, and the absence of a central tunnel.

Audi Q5 Redesign 2023 Audi previously mentioned the PPE will be more sophisticated than the MEB platform by offering air suspension, torque vectoring, and rear-wheel steering.

Both single and dual electric motor setups are under development, with the former coming in a rear-wheel-drive flavor while the more powerful configuration will have AWD. 350 kW fast charging capability has been promised for the new platform that Audi is developing with Porsche.

A new report from Auto Bild claims there will also be a Q6 E-Tron acting as a “coupe” version, but nothing is official at this point.

We’re also not sure it will be the official name as it could be called the Q5 E-Tron Sportback, similar to the upcoming Q4 E-Tron & Q4 Sportback E-Tron pair except that it will have a very different design. as seen in Q7 & Q8 to guarantee higher numbers.

Meanwhile, the next-generation Porsche Macan will be the first PPE-based electric vehicle to be revealed. The Audi equivalent is likely not far behind seeing how both will go on sale next year.

2023 Audi Q5 Preview: New Audi Q5 2023

New Audi Q5 2023 Audi still hasn’t standardized the exterior appearance of the S line across the 2023 Q5 lineup 2023 along with the new 18-inch wheel design.

Our speculation that the trim style will be present in the mid-range Premium Plus now includes a power-adjustable steering column; Audi’s Black Optics display package is now optional and includes black exterior trim and unique 20-inch alloy wheels.

The plug-in Audi Q5 Hybrid 2023 model now comes as standard with sports seats.

  • HIGHEST
Handsome style, tech-rich cabin, many configurations to choose from.
  • LOWEST
Some rivals are roomier and more cargo friendly, have less driving sensation, basic warranty.
  • DECISION
The 2023 Q5 is well-equipped and fully equipped but few competitors offer more fun behind the wheel.

While they’re not the most attractive SUVs to drive, we expect the Audi Q5 and Q5 Sportback 2023 to offer an upscale look, a host of high-end features, and refined nature. Two powertrains are offered — a 261-hp turbocharged four-cylinder or a 362-hp plug-in hybrid — with Audi Quattro all-wheel-drive standard on both versions.

From touchscreen infotainment to available digital gauge displays, the Q5 is groomed to impress technophiles. Rivals like the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, BMW X3, and Porsche Macan are more thrilling to drive on winding roads while the 2023 Q5 is more tuned for everyday comfort than outright performance. Leave that to the hotter SQ5, which we review separately.

2023 Audi Q5 Specs

While there’s no official information yet, most of the time it’s carried around for 2023, the Q5 is back in 45 TFSI, 55 TFSI e, and SQ5 trims, with standard and 2023 Audi Q5 E Tron body styles.

It now comes with a standard S-line body kit, and offers a Black optical package with 20-inch wheels, while the plug-in hybrid car gets standard sports seats. The hybrid gets a bigger battery, going from 14.1 kWh to 17.9 kWh.

We very much expect the 2023 Audi Q5 will evoke a stronger sense of style as a Sportback than in its standard edition SUV tog. It sports strong creases on the sides and a thick embossed low grille that is more balanced with the Sportback’s sleek roofline.

The cabin borders on gloomy, but the large swath of digital displays brings light, while the large sunroof brightens up the beige, gray, or black interior (we’ll take the suave Okapi brown leather, FWIW).

Audi fits the Q5 with a 261-hp turbo-4 and all-wheel drive in the base version, and it’s great for a 0-60 mph time of 5.7 seconds. The dual-clutch transmission can be smoother at urban speeds and the steering is less light, but it delivers power and the 2023 Q5 earns its reputation for attentive handling.

The plug-in hybrid model gained battery output this year, which may mean added weight that would negate the increase in plug-in range. We’ll update our review once the specs are clearer.

Enter the SQ5, and the turbo-4 gives way to a 349-hp turbo-6 and 8-speed automatic that can push it to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds. The SQ5 also has an advanced steering and rear traction system that provides unwavering grip, a tight ride, and beefy steering.

The 2023 Q5 accommodates four adults nicely and can fit five medium-sized passengers with ease, providing plenty of head and legroom and small luggage storage for all (heated and cooled cupholders, anyone?). Cargo space measures at least 27 cubic feet with the rear seats up and the Q5’s interior is made up of smooth materials like standard leather and wood or faux carbon trim.

IIHS awarded Q5 the Top Safety Pick+ award, and automatic emergency braking is standard, as are blind-spot monitors and parking sensors. Other models add adaptive cruise control, active lane control, and a surround-view camera system.

2023 Audi Q5 Interior

Audi Q5 2023 Interior On the inside buyers of even the cheapest 2023 Audi Q5 will enjoy the intuitive infotainment system displayed on the 10.1-inch dashboard screen. Most of the infotainment features are expected to be present and accounted for in the base Q5, including Wi-Fi hotspot and Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto capabilities.

Things get a lot more interesting if you switch to the Premium Plus or Prestige trims, as they come with a reconfigurable digital gauge cluster called the Audi Virtual Cockpit. It provides a 12.3-inch wide nav map view plus selected media, phone controls, a trip computer, speed, and tachometer, or a combination of these.

The Q5 provides enough room for four adults to feel comfortable and offers many high-end features, even on the base Premium model.

The cabin is quiet with speed and easy to get in and out of. Climbing through three trim levels — Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige — nets even more luxury features, including Audi’s slick Virtual Cockpit digital gauge cluster.

When it comes to how many boxes of our carry-on cargo fit, the Q5 isn’t impressive. It beats the smaller Macan, but only and accommodates 18 cases with the rear seats folded. The Q5’s rear seatbacks fold easily in a 40/20/40 style, however, providing the flexibility that the Lexus RX lacks.

2023 Audi Q5 MPG

While the EPA estimates for the Q5 will produce 23 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The plug-in-hybrid variant has a combined estimate of 27 mpg and an electric range of just 19 miles.

On our 75-mph fuel-economy test route, the Q5 with its base powertrain matches its EPA rating of 28 mpg; we haven’t had a chance to test the Q5 with the optional plug-in hybrid powertrain yet. For more information on the Q5’s fuel economy, visit the EPA website.

2023 Audi SQ5

The 2023 SQ5 is the perfect balance of functionality and sportiness. The strong and attractive lines of the SQ5 are further enhanced in the tradition of the Audi S model, creating a road-ready SUV.

The first thing that catches your eye when you see the Audi SQ5 is the honeycomb grille, which accentuates its strength and style. Pair it with lower air intakes and tapered wheel arch liners to show your performance.

The SQ5 and SQ5 Sportback with a turbocharged V6 engine under the hood add power to the high-tech luxury equation of the conventional Q5 SUV to good effect.

This performance-oriented model is not as attractive as competitors such as the BMW X3 M, Porsche Macan Turbo, or Mercedes AMG GLC class, but for buyers looking for a sportier and aggressive look without compromising ride quality, the 2023 SQ5 offers a very satisfying balance between comfort and speed.

Inside, the SQ5 and SQ5 Sportback offer a rich tech experience with multiple digital displays and a variety of driver assistance features. The passenger compartment is spacious, but for maximum practicality, you’ll need to swap the slimmer Sportback for the boxier SQ5. Audi

made only one change to the SQ5 and SQ5 Sportback for 2022: carbon fiber interior trim is now standard. Other performance-oriented crossovers remain unchanged.

2023 Audi SQ5 Interior

The SQ5’s exterior might seem a little boring unless you opt for the sexier Sportback body style. But inside, both come standard with sculpted sports seats and available leather seats, leaving no doubt about the crossover’s luxurious intentions. Heated and electrically adjustable front seats are standard on all SQ5s, as are three-zone automatic climate control and Audi’s attractive and practical design.

Other amenities will cost more and may include heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and optional leather upholstery for the front row. We piled the same six crates in the 27 cubic foot SQ5 cargo hold as in the waiting room. 18 cubic feet of Tiger baggage.

Call it impressive for the Macan or disappointing for the SQ5, but either way, it puts Audi at the bottom of the segment in terms of real-world portability. The Sportback variant reduces the luggage compartment behind the rear seats by 3 blocks (25 cubic meters in total), and when folded opens an average of 52 cargo volumes.

The SQ5’s standard infotainment offering includes two USB ports, three 12V outlets, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. Drivers can enjoy premium features such as Wi-Fi hotspots and a digital display of the Audi Virtual Cockpit when choosing Premium Plus Mid Class or Prestige Upscale.

Among other gimmicks, this update to the instrument cluster display provides a satellite panorama from the direction of the MMI navigation system, so drivers don’t have to wonder if they are in the right direction.

It’s a bit disappointing in a world where almost everyone owns a GPS-enabled smartphone, but it’s a gimmick (for now) that puts Audi above the competition. The addition of a USB port for rear-seat passengers is encouraged.

2023 Audi Q5 Engine

We expect the engine that comes with the 2023 Audi Q5 hoping to be even better than last year’s to feature a standard 261-hp turbocharged four-cylinder, seven-speed automatic transmission, and Quattro all-wheel drive.

The turbo-four delivers plenty of punch to drive the Q5 around town or cruise down the highway on a highway, and it’s smooth, quiet, and melodious.

On our test track, the Q5 with this basic powertrain delivered 5.5 seconds to 60 mph. The plug-in-hybrid variant adds an electric motor that increases output to a combined 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, which Audi claims will improve acceleration.

The suspension of this luxurious compact crossover is well damped and provides a feeling of stability on the road or under driving conditions.

The ride is smooth and controlled—with or without the optional adaptive suspension—even on pockmarked asphalt. Steering is accurate and lightweight but provides no visual feedback from the front wheels.

In Dynamic drive mode, the steering feels heavier but still artificial. Drop the Q5 down two twisty lanes and it’ll handle it pretty well, but the Porsche Macan will show much better timing.

2023 Audi SQ5 Engine

The SQ5 simplifies drivetrain handling. Audi’s powerful turbocharged V6 delivers good power, while the standard Quattro all-wheel-drive delivers that power on any road.

This dynamic duo sometimes disappoints with its eight-speed automatic transmission, which can slow downshift and sometimes provide good gearshifts.

The SQ5’s acceleration of 5.1 seconds from 0 to 60 mph is objectively fast, but not as fast as the GLC43’s 4.3 seconds. With its powerful, precise steering, the SQ5 can be a lot of fun in corners, especially if it’s equipped, like our test car, with an additional differential after torque vectoring.

Even the base model SQ5 is equipped with a rear-wheel-drive system that can transfer up to 85 percent of the available torque to the rear wheels. The SQ5’s ride is comfortable, a compliment in this segment, but too smooth for ride quality.

We suspect most buyers in this segment will be very happy with the straight and rough road of the SQ5, but savvy buyers should still choose the winning Porsche Macan 10Best.

2023 Audi SQ5 MPG

The EPA SQ5’s fuel economy rating isn’t particularly impressive, but most competitors share this. Plus, the SQ5 outperformed these numbers in our highway fuel economy test.

Our Prestige test car hit an impressive 28 mpg on the highway, and drove 200 miles at 75 mph, even overtaking a Cadillac XT5, which was nowhere near Audi’s performance. For more information on the SQ5’s fuel economy, visit the EPA website.

2023 Audi SQ5 Price

It’s easy to justify the extra cost of the regular SQ5 Prestige. It comes with more standard equipment than the rest of the lineup, including navigation, 19-speaker Bang and Olufsen stereo, heads-up display, and adaptive cruise control with drive mode.

  • Starting at $53,900.*

2023 Audi Q5 Price

Back to the price which is also still a mystery. However, our 2023 Audi speculation will likely differentiate the Q5 powertrains with numbers 45 and 55, the former meaning a standard turbo four and the latter indicating an optional plug-in hybrid setup.

We’ll let you choose between the regular Q5 and the coupe-like Q5 Sportback, but we recommend sticking with the 45 models. Of all these, the mid-range Premium Plus trim offers the best balance of features and price and comes standard with Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital gauge display.

  • Premium $46,195
  • Sportback Premium $50,495
  • Premium Plus $51.195
  • Sportback Premium Plus $53.895
  • Premium $54,995
  • Prestige $56,595
  • Premium Plus $59,095
  • Sportback Prestige $59,195
  • Prestige $64,445

Audi 2023 Q5 The base $46,195 Q5 gets leather upholstery and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. We’ll opt for the $50,195 Q5 Premium Plus and adaptive cruise control and surround-view camera system, then spend on the available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and Sportback body. The SQ5 Prestige scaled back to $66,795.

2023 Audi Q5 Release Date

Audi Q5 2023 Release Date Well, until now there has been no official schedule for the 2023 Audi Q5. But it could happen that the Audi 2023 Q5 will launch in the Fall of next year without any major changes both aesthetically and with any of the features offered onboard.

While the S-Line appearance pack is standard equipment, it can still be considered a gimmick to keep things fresh for the moniker. That being said, the 2023 Audi Q5 is a perfect example of how the number of parts is greater than the parts themselves.

2023 Audi Q5 Price

We expect the Audi Q5 2023 in standard arrangement to heft the base cost of around $46,000.

It’s not modest, however, it’s comparable to rivals like the Volvo XC60, Infiniti QX55, and Genesis GV70. Furthermore remember, not at all like many contending extravagance SUVs, the Q5 doesn’t charge extra for AWD.

The Look for the 2023 Q5 55 TFSI e-module cross breed conveys a base cost of around $55,000, while the exhibition tuned SQ5 begins at around $56,000—however, the completely stacked model effectively outperforms $60,000.

Concerning the sleeker-looking 2023 Q5 Sportback, it is assessed that the value goes from $50,000 to $60,000, contingent upon which of the three accessible trim levels is picked.
