2024 Audi A4: The New Audi A4 Luxury Car Sedan Review

Posted on

2024 Audi A4 has been with us for quite some time now, which means it’s a great time for a completely new model. Spy shots of the standard A4 have surfaced online, which means that the development of the rival Audi 3 Series is currently underway. However, the custom test mule we see here may not be your typical A4. The Audi A4 is conservative in design, with care, and looks expensive—that’s how it is. It looks classy and sporty in equal measure, and that’s how it’s driven—luxury balanced with agility.

The interior is carefully assembled with premium materials and the attention to detail we expect from a premium maker like Audi, but the design could use more flair. Indeed, the same can be said of the somewhat subdued exterior styling.

The A4 sedan, once Audi’s bread and butter, is now considerably outsold by the brand’s SUVs. Nevertheless, it remains a faithful distillation of Audi’s brand values: a refined, understated exterior and interior design. A ride quality that skillfully balances performance and comfort. A long list of comfort and safety technologies. Engines with efficient turbocharging. And, naturally, the assurance of Quattro all-wheel drive in all conditions.

  • The cabin is visually appealing and expertly constructed.
  • Advanced and user-friendly technology
  • The rear berth is large enough for adults.
  • A4 45 TFSI’s turbocharged engine provides rapid acceleration.

2024 Audi A4 Review

A prototype for the redesigned 2024 Audi A4 has been spotted again. The prototype was for the A4 Avant wagon body style, but testers for the sedan should be out soon. While Audi doesn’t offer the A4 Avant in the US, we still get a wagon body in the guise of the A4 Allroad soft-roader.

The current 2024 Audi A4, B9, arrived for the 2017 model year and was given a mid-cycle update for 2020. The redesigned A4, and B10, will arrive for the 2024 model year, meaning it’s likely to debut in early 2023.

The prototype is only lightly camouflaged on the front. We can see that the design will be similar to the latest A3 but with some notches introduced.

Moving back, we can see that the roofline is more curved than the current A4 Avant, so it looks sportier overall. Temporary lights on the back of the testers mean we’ll have to wait for more advanced prototypes to see the taillight designs.

2024 Audi A4:

2024 Audi A4 Redesign

The redesigned A4 Avant is getting closer to production and could debut later this year Like a caterpillar slowly turning into a butterfly, the 2024 Audi A4 Avant sheds its camouflage cocoon. The redesigned wagon is expected to debut later this year and will feature an evolutionary, yet streamlined design. The changes are immediately noticeable as the upcoming model features a wider grille flanked by angular headlamps. They are joined by a vertical air curtain as well as a prominent central intake.

Moving downwards, the designers used a sharp shoulder line and flush-mounted doorknobs. They are joined by an upward-pointing belt line and what appears to be an evolutionary greenhouse. We can also see a sloping roof and previous images suggest the cart could be fitted with a large panoramic glass roof.

While this prototype closely resembled the others, it was notable for featuring a production taillight. As you can see, the redesigned A4 will adopt slim lighting units that appear to be connected by an illuminated strip. The other rear end is more evolutionary, but the model has been equipped with minimalistic reflectors and a classier-looking rear bumper. We also get a glimpse of what appears to be a production exhaust system.

Previous spy photos suggest changes will continue in the cabin with a freestanding digital instrument cluster and floating infotainment system. We can also expect a new steering wheel, streamlined air vents, and a revamped center console with a Q4-like shifter.

Engine options remain a closely guarded secret, but we can expect a mix of petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid options. The latter is set to focus on efficiency and performance as a plug-in hybrid powertrain is expected to be found in both the main variant as well as the highest-range RS4 Avant.

2024 Audi A4 Specs

The enhanced version of the 2.0-liter engine is worth the additional cost. The increase in drivability from the base engine’s 201 horsepower to the optional engine’s 261 horsepower has essentially no effect on fuel economy. Upgrade to the more potent engine to receive a firmer suspension that lowers the 2024 Audi A4 by about an inch compared to the base configuration, as well as other equipment that varies by trim level. The price of the upgrade also differs by trim level, but even at its priciest, it costs less than two thousand dollars.

Expect all powertrains to be electrified, with either mild hybrid or plug-in technology. It’s unclear whether diesel engines will be offered, although some may be in markets where the fuel is still popular. An electric version of the redesigned 2024 Audi A4 based on VW Group’s PPE modular EV platform is also expected, though the vehicle may feature unique styling treatments to help set it apart from the regular 2024 Audi A4.

The PPE platform debuted this year in the Audi Q6 E-Tron, and will eventually spawn several EVs across the VW Group brand portfolio. Interestingly, it has been reported that the redesigned A4 will be featured a pair of electrified RS variants developed by Audi Sport, one battery-electric and the other plug-in hybrid. Keep watching.

2024 Audi A4 Redesign

This story contains independent illustrations created by Jean Francois Hubert/SB-Medien for CarScoops based on spy shots not associated with or endorsed by Audi. Audi is preparing to debut the new generation 2024 Audi A4 which will reportedly be available in sedan, Avant, S4, RS4, and Allroad variants. Based on many spy shots of the A4, our colleague Jean Francois Hubert/SB-Medien created a new rendering that accurately depicts how the A4 Avant will look.

Audi is known for its evolutionary approach to exterior design, with each generation looking very much like the one before it. However, while the new 2024 Audi A4 will remain easily recognizable, it will become even sexier and sportier thanks to Audi’s new design identity.

Compared to the previous 2024 Audi A4 which was facelifted in 2019, the new generation will have a shorter and wider single-frame grille, a more sculpted bumper with higher intakes, and more aggressive headlights with LED graphics inspired by the e-Tron GT.

The surface on the profile will be cleaner, and the rear shoulders are more prominent than before, reminiscent of the RS 6 Avant. Other new features include a new hood line that doesn’t touch the headlights anymore and a slightly sportier window line as depicted in our previous rendering by Josh Byrnes.

2024 Audi A4 Spyshots

The prototype uses the A4 Avant wagon body style, but a test sedan will be out soon. Even though Audi doesn’t offer the A4 Avant in the US, we still get a wagon body in the guise of the A4 Allroad soft-roader.

The current 2024 Audi A4, internal code B9, arrived for the 2017 model year and was given a mid-cycle update for 2020. A redesigned A4, the B10, will arrive for the 2024 model year, meaning a possible debut in early 2023.

This prototype is only slightly camouflaged on the front. We can see that the design will be similar to the latest A3 but with some introduced curves. Moving backwards, the roofline is curvier than the current A4 Avant, resulting in an overall sportier look. The temporary light on the back of the tester means we’ll have to wait for a more advanced prototype to see what the taillight design will look like.

Inside, expect a neat dashboard topped by a single panel consisting of the instrument cluster and the infotainment system. It should also have an advanced head-up display with augmented-reality elements (navigation symbols, for example) on offer.

Audi has confirmed it will only introduce electric vehicles from 2026, meaning this will be the last 2024 Audi A4 generation to be equipped with an internal combustion engine. It should ride on an updated version of the Volkswagen Group’s MLB Evo platform found in the current 2024 Audi A4, meaning a longitudinal engine mount and standard front-wheel drive.

Expect all powertrains to be electrified, either with mild hybrid or plug-in hybrid technology. It’s unclear if diesel engines will be offered, although some may be in markets where the fuel is still popular.

An electric version of a redesigned A4 based on VW Group’s PPE modular EV platform is also expected, although the vehicle may feature a unique styling treatment to help differentiate it from the regular 2024 Audi A4. The PPE platform makes its debut in the Audi Q6 E-Tron compact crossover, and will eventually spawn multiple EVs across the VW Group’s portfolio of brands.

Interestingly, it has been reported that the redesigned A4 will be topped by a pair of electrified RS variants developed by Audi Sport, one battery-electric and the other plug-in hybrid. Stay tuned.

The last time we saw the long-roof Audi A4 in camouflage, the taillights were still placeholders and the grille covered the underside. Now, we’re still dealing with full-body camouflage dressing, but we believe that’s an Audi gimmick at the moment. There are no obvious fake panels, no bulky covers, and those taillights look production ready.

That’s the point of this new set of images, taken recently showing a prototype gliding casually in public. It’s easy to see the design of the taillights here, especially when the driver hits the brakes and hits the turn signal. The slim lens incorporates a red and orange horizontal LED strip at the bottom, with a parallelogram element at the top. One thing we can’t see is whether the light is connected at the liftgate to the red reflector. A close-up shows the outline of the body under the camouflage wrap that matches the lens, and we see a section of red through the wrap in the center.

Moving forward, we have our best look at the A4’s wider grille. It appears to be production-ready, and unless Audi gets really sneaky with its camouflage, the grille no longer drops to the lower fascia. The body line under the bandage at the edge of the fascia shows triangular-shaped elements for corner ventilation, which should be smaller than current models.

This series of images doesn’t get us inside the carriage, but previous shots have revealed a very different layout with offset rectangular digital displays for the instruments and infotainment system. The offset is large enough to negate the possibility of them being bridged under a single screen, so even if the cart is definitely digital, it won’t have the full glass cockpit effect.

2024 Audi A4 Spied

The fifth-generation 2024 Audi A4 has been spied testing, sporting its production lighting and less camouflage than before. Once again, has been spied on under the guise of the Avant wagon. We haven’t seen a prototype of the new A4 sedan yet, and the new generation is rumored to only go wagon, with the next-generation A5 Sportback taking the slack for buyers who prefer a three-box shape.

While the sedan could be an option, the hot variant is not. Audi is known for its high-performance wagons, and the next-gen A4 is set to spawn hot S4 and RS4 variants like never before. Given the current-generation, A2024 Audi A4 debuted back in 2015 and facelifted in 2019, and the fact that this prototype appears deep in development, the reveal of the new generation will likely happen this year.

The next 2024 Audi A4 will reportedly get a plug-in hybrid powertrain available, joining the existing lineup of petrol and diesel engines. A high-performance plug-in hybrid powertrain could make its way into the next RS4, potentially a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 PHEV unit.

While rival Mercedes-Benz has moved to a fully four-cylinder powertrain line-up for its rival C-Class line-up and its AMG variants, Audi could continue to offer six for its performance models like BMW does. Styling is evolutionary, in the Audi tradition. The shape of the grille and headlights are almost the same, although the front bumper has sharp diagonal folds leading to more vertically oriented headlights and air intakes.

The greenhouse looks very much like the current car, as does the sharply swept rear door. Audi designers haven’t rocked the boat yet. Previous photos have revealed the wider A4 family will continue to sport the large, tablet-style, landscape-oriented central touchscreen, which will now incorporate climate control.

The next A4, S4, and RS4 are expected to use an updated version of the existing MLB Evo platform, and possibly the latter featuring a combustion engine.

Audi plans to stop selling cars with internal combustion engines outside of China by 2033. The A4 isn’t the only Volkswagen Group product rumored to be just a wagon in the next generation. The Volkswagen Passat sedan has been discontinued, and the next-generation mid-sizer will reportedly not offer the three-box body style.

While that may seem unusual – the only body model that seems to be less popular than sedans in Australia at the moment is the wagon – the wagon accounts for the lion’s share of Passat sales in its home market of Germany. The lack of a sedan could spell the end of the A4 in the US market, but the brand’s commitment to a wagon model here could put it on a more stable footing even as the crossover has become the brand’s biggest seller by some margin.

Audi discontinued the 2024 Audi A4 allroad and its larger A6 allroad counterpart in Britain last year, but is committed to continuing to offer these models in Australia, calling them important additions. The company sold just 535 examples of its wider 2024 Audi A4 lineup in Australia in 2022, including the high-rider allroad wagon, which is barely more than the 387 examples it sells of the related A5 Sportback.

The 2024 Audi A4 Avant Adds Production Lights and Looks More Stylish Than Before

It may not feel out of date yet, but the current-generation 2024 Audi A4 will be blowing out eight candles from its birthday cake this year. The B9 entered production in 2015, welcomed its mid-cycle update three years later, and now the automaker is gearing up the B10.

Set to stick to its premium compact form with its eye on the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the new-generation Audi A4 has been in the testing phase for over a year now, and meanwhile, the camouflage is wearing thin. The latest prototype our guys shot with the camera, which is the Avant (estate), also sports its latest production lighting units at both ends.

Sporting a new grille, adorned with a four-ring logo and flanked by new LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, wide central air intakes and vertical side vents, the front bumper on the latest scooped tester looks sportier and contributes to style. car view. It has flush-mounted doorknobs, sleek taillights that appear to be connected by an illuminated strip, and a rear bumper with an integrated diffuser and cutouts on each side for what appear to be production exhaust pipes.

Think evolutionary rather than revolutionary when it comes to the overall design of the new 2024 Audi A4 , which builds on the success of its predecessor with everything new.

Expect a higher-spec large panoramic glass roof, and a refreshed cabin style, with a new dashboard panel that will host a floating infotainment display, and a stand-alone digital instrument cluster.

Look for streamlined air vents, a new steering wheel, and a center console that houses a gear shifter similar to the Q4. Unsurprisingly, the new-generation Audi A4 will feature the latest in technology and safety equipment, and the automaker will splash it out with ambient lighting, comfortable seats up front, and new upholstery and trim, with leather obviously reserved for the more expensive ones. the model that will sit at the top of the range.

Speaking of high-end versions, the S4 and RS 4 will live on, though the latter will obviously be reserved for the five-door body style. A plug-in hybrid powertrain will also be included, in addition to a number of petrol units. It’s likely Europe will get a diesel engine or two, and it’s likely that the new-generation A4 will be the last of its kind to feature a low-revving engine.

Remember, the exact details surrounding firepower are still unknown, and will probably remain so until Audi officially lifts the curtain on the car. Speaking of which, it has been reported that a new 2024 Audi A4 will be released in the coming months, possibly launching as a 2024 model in the United States.

As a final note, rumors are circulating claiming that Audi will be discontinuing the next-generation sedan version of the A4, and that role will be taken over by the A5 Sportback. We reached out to the company, and we’ll either update this story or write a new one depending on what they have to say about it.

Audi A4 Interior

Inside, we’ll likely see a neat dashboard with a single panel comprising the instrument cluster and infotainment system. There should also be a sophisticated heads-up display with augmented-reality elements (navigation symbols, for example) on offer. Audi has confirmed that it will only introduce electric vehicles from 2026, meaning this will be the last 2024 Audi A4 generation to be equipped with an internal combustion engine.

The platform should be an updated version of the Volkswagen Group’s MLB Evo platform found on the current A4, meaning longitudinal engine mounting and standard front-wheel drive.

Inside the cabin, we expect a technological overhaul, with a digital cockpit borrowed from Audi’s EV model. This means that the widely used 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster can be combined with a much larger touchscreen for infotainment, bringing even more connectivity features to the A4. Audi will also equip the model with its entire ADAS suite, especially in the high-end trim.

Interior

You will discover that the Audi A4 has an elegant and practical cabin with a focus on technology. The multifunction digital instrument cluster was revolutionary when it was introduced and continues to be an exemplary device, incorporating numerous features and exhibiting virtually no lag in operation. Although the interior of the A4 feels a bit antiquated in comparison to newer competitors, it’s difficult to pinpoint specific instances, which is a testament to how well this generation has aged.

In terms of interior capacity, the 2024 Audi A4 is no longer a compact vehicle. The A4 appears and feels comparable to a midsize sedan, with sufficient legroom for four individuals of ample stature. There is sufficient headroom for 6-footers in the rear as well. Additionally, visibility is quite excellent because of the thin pillars and abundance of glass.

Comfort

Although the A4’s front seats are on the firmer side, they are still sufficiently comfortable for lengthy trips. The A4 is quiet on the highway, but wind and tire noise are louder than anticipated for the class. This may be because the A4 hasn’t been redesigned since 2017, whereas its competitors have advanced. The suspension has a typical Germanic firmness, and it regulates body motions on cracked pavement without ever making the ride feel harsh.

Technology

The A4’s central MMI display screen is now a touchscreen, so the knob that controlled earlier iterations of this system is no longer present on the console. We do not believe you will miss it. On its 10.1-inch display, the touchscreen’s intuitive menu structure and high-quality graphics are within easy reach for most drivers. Apple CarPlay and (wired) Android Auto smartphone integration are standard, and there are ample USB outlets for both front and rear passengers.

Audi’s Virtual Cockpit, a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument panel that replaced the analog gauges in our test vehicle, impressed visually and technically with its sharp graphics and quick responses. The optional Bang & Olufsen audio system was less remarkable; we’ve heard excellent B&O-branded systems in numerous vehicles, but the A4’s system lacked the clarity and punch to be ranked among the best.

Audi’s suite of sophisticated driver aids is standard on Premium Plus and higher trims, and the aids are so effective that we recommend upgrading to get them.

Storage space

The 2024 Audi A4 has a smaller trunk capacity (12 cubic feet) than many competitors, but it makes up for it with a large trunk opening and practical cutouts that accommodate lengthier items such as golf clubs. The folding 40/20/40-split rear seats provide additional versatility. The A4 provides adequate storage for personal items on the interior, but there is room for enhancement. The curiously square and shallow receptacle in front of the shift lever will hold your phone, but it’s hardly a snug fit, and the compartment under the center armrest is similarly shallow.

If you have a car seat, there is sufficient capacity. The front seatbacks will still rub against a rear-facing child seat, but the A4 provides more space than anticipated for the front passenger when a car seat is installed. You could actually transport four adults and a child.

2024 Audi A4 Avant

After seeing several testing prototypes of the new 2024 Audi A4 in different environments, are you curious to see how it looks under the faux leather? Well, don’t be surprised anymore, because the camouflage has been peeled off unofficially.

Signed by Kolesa, this rendering gives a semi-realistic look into the style of the upcoming B10.

At the front, it’s somewhat similar to the tester, with the overall shape of the bumper, top and bottom grilles, and side air inlets almost spot on. The headlights, however, are different from the original car.

Since Audi hasn’t outfitted the prototype with final production taillights yet, the pixel manipulator looks to other models in the company’s enclosure for inspiration. Thus, these have a horizontal shape and are connected together by light strips.

The tailgate and spoiler seem to be on the realistic side, while the faux bumper, diffuser, and exhaust trim have a ‘trust me, bro’ approach. The same can be said about the line crossing the sides as well.

In case you forgot, the 2024 Audi A4 will be the last of its kind to pack an internal combustion engine. Europe will have to get at least one diesel, while in North America, it will be offered with gasoline-only units, some of which will be electrified.

Expect mild and plug-in hybrids, as well as the full-blown RS 4, also said to feature some sort of electrification.

The German auto marque might up the ante with a battery-electric variant, perhaps adding the e-Tron suffix, though if this were true, then it could be powered by a different platform than the updated MLB, of which the upcoming A4 is understood. to be built around.

With the production of the B9 generation Audi A4 supposed to end next year, the B10 may be due in the first half of 2023. By the time it gets here, it will most likely launch as the model year 2024.

2024 Audi A4 Powertrain

Powertrain options remain largely a mystery, though hybrid power is guaranteed. This generation should also be the last A4 Avant to be offered with a combustion engine. Audi has committed to going electric sooner rather than later, and in that case, the next A4 Avant could launch without a companion A4 sedan. The A5 Sportback could fill the 2024 Audi A4 role until an all-electric model arrives.

Speaking of arrivals, with production lights on, it’s likely we’ll see the A4 Avant revealed in the first half of this year, making it a 2024 model. It should remain a product of the European market, so don’t expect to see it in America.

2024 Audi A4 PHEV

Recent reports surrounding the RS4 Avant powertrain suggest that Audi’s high-performance car will be given a V-6 plug-in hybrid system. A total figure of at least 500 horsepower is expected as these will compete with the likes of the BMW M3 Competition Touring and the upcoming Mercedes-AMG C63 Estate – the latter of which is also expected to come with a plug-in hybrid system.

For now, the charging port isn’t clearly visible on this particular test mule – which is a prerequisite for a plug-in hybrid, however, it looks like it could be hidden in the left rear fender.

It should be noted that the PHEV sticker can be clearly seen on the left side of the rear windshield.

Audi A4 Engine

Currently, the Audi RS4 Avant comes with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine that produces 444 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. This is mated to a seven-speed S Tronic automatic dual-clutch that drives all four wheels.

Currently, the RS4 Avant can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.1 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph. With the wonders of electrification, we can expect the Audi RS4 Avant to be not only more powerful but also much more fuel efficient, keeping pace with the times.

As mentioned, we’re not sure if this is really the RS4 Avant, but the sound it makes is a strong indicator that this may be Audi’s upcoming high-performance car. Dubbed as Audi’s last ICE-powered model in its segment, the A4 will use an improved version of the MLB architecture.

Engine options will reportedly include a mild-hybrid 2.0 TFSI petrol engine and a more efficient plug-in hybrid powertrain with an increased EV range. Audi will continue to offer the A4 with the Quattro option that will become standard on the crossover-style Allroad.

The S4 has been seen testing with the V6 TFSI which will probably get some sort of power aid in the new generation. As for the performance flagship RS4, it is expected to feature a plug-in hybrid setup, similar to that of the upcoming Mercedes-AMG C 63 rival and unlike the pure BMW M3 Touring ICE.

For those who prefer a BEV, the automaker will also offer a fully electric A4 e-Tron which will be a different model, sharing the PPE architecture with the larger A6 e-Tron.

Performance

We tested the A4 with the 261 horsepower 45 TFSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This is more than the base 40 TFSI engine, which produces 60 fewer horsepower. Our test vehicle accelerated from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 5,3 seconds, which is notably fast for a four-cylinder engine in this class. The dual-clutch automatic transmission lacks the affirmative engagement of, say, the conventional automatic transmission in the rival BMW 3 Series, but you get used to its occasionally delayed responses. Overall, the A4 performs its duties in a smooth and silent manner.

The A4 has a firm brake pedal feel, but the abrupt pedal engagement at low velocities, in conjunction with the dual-clutch transmission, makes parking difficult. On our test track, the A4 completed the emergency 60-0 mph brake test in a respectable 111 feet. Our demo vehicle had summer performance tires, so expect longer stopping distances with the standard, less grippy all-season tires.

The A4 feels entirely competent but not particularly engaging through turns. Particularly disappointing is the steering, which does not convey a clear sense of the road or the car’s traction. You won’t find passion here, but you will find composure and competence. Without a doubt.

2024 Audi A4 Spyshot

Connectivity and in-car entertainment are key battlegrounds when it comes to new car sales, and our latest spy shots reveal exactly what that media system will look like when the next-generation Audi A4 arrives for the 2024 model year.

The scoop image shows that Audi is not adopting a one-piece display structure like BMW, whose main display of its latest iDrive system flows into the digital instrument binnacle.

Instead, Audi opted to install two separate screens: a large but slim rectangular screen in front of the driver, and a second square-shaped unit mounted further from the windshield at the top of the low-rise center console.

It looks like Audi is also following the trend to mount those two screens above the dashboard, rather than embedding them inside.

That helps give the cabin a more spacious feel (even if there isn’t any usable space), and it also makes the driver feel like they’re sitting taller, as might be the case in a crossover.

Also visible in this interior photo are the push-pull buttons for the automatic transmission selector and the hexagonal steering wheel equipped with touch-sensitive buttons, two features lifted from Audi’s recently introduced Q4 e-Tron.

It’s great to see that Audi has retained the physical rotary volume controller on the back of the console, but sadly it looks like the climate function may have migrated to the main touchscreen.

Our spy photographer also took a set of pictures of the exterior of the A4 Avant wagon we saw in May.

In true Audi fashion, the design changes are evolutionary, but the detail changes that make it look more modern include slimmer headlights and fitted door handles.

Interestingly, this time the grille looks a little shorter, and no longer protrudes toward the front end of the hood. On the other hand, there is an area of body color plastic between the two, which helps reduce repair costs after a low-speed shunt.

The photographer noted that this particular test car was very noisy, and wondered if it was an early RS4 prototype.

The little “PHEV” sticker on the rear window tells us it’s a hybrid, and it seems very likely that Audi will turn the next RS4 into a plug-in to target the new 671 hp (680 PS) Mercedes-AMG C63 PHEV.

But since this test car had a simple twin-pipe exhaust system and what looked like basic sliding caliper brakes, it might have been something less spicy.

2024 Audi A4 EPA

The EPA estimates that the less potent A4 40 TFSI achieves 30 mpg combined (26 city/35 highway), while the sportier A4 45 TFSI suffers only a minor penalty. Despite some vigorous driving on canyon roads, we observed 28 mpg on our 115-mile highway-heavy evaluation route, which is a respectable showing for a luxury sedan.
