Audi A4 Avant Facelift 2019
Audi A4 Avant Facelift 2019 We already knew that we would have a new Audi A4 in 2019, but now a leak of the Audi product roadmap seems to confirm the car will be on sale in the third quarter of this year. The new Audi A4 will be one of 18 new or revised Audis to come this year – whose highlights include the new T4 coupe-style SUV and the all-new A3. While on the surface, it may seem that the A4 is only due to a slight update, a closer look suggests changes will be more than the deep skin. Read on to find out exactly what it means.
Although the 2019 Audi A4 could officially be a facelift, the model is online to get significant changes, especially indoors. On the outside, the revisions will be subtle, with the refreshed model getting a wider and flatter grille design that is more in tune with the look seen on the new A1 Sportback and upcoming Audi A3. As with the front of the car, the back of the A4 gets revised taillights that are likely to offer a cool start function that performs a sequential dance when you lock and unlock the car.
The biggest changes are likely to be seen indoors, however, where the 2019 Audi A4 is set to get the first-stacked touchscreens seen on the A8. They make the cabin feel much more modern and will feature haptic feedback-to imitate by pressing the regular buttons that will make them easier to use on the move. The Audi virtual cockpit is set to come in standard in the new A4 and A4 front. This is a huge screen that replaces the regular dials behind the steering wheel and can turn into a massive map that is great to look at and also makes it very easy to follow the directions of the SAT-NAV.
While all these revisions will be easy to spot, the changes under the skin will be less obvious-the 2019 Audi A4 is set to get a soft hybrid technology. Made possible by a 48v electrical system, the new A4 will get a small electric motor that will act as a starter but also be able to increase the performance away from the lights and improve fuel economy by about 5mpg.
