2020 Audi RS3 welcome to audicarusa.com discover New Audi sedans, SUVs & coupes get our expert review. Audi’s new Rs 3 has finally landed. The car is a compact sports sedan with essentially the same mechanical package as the TT RS-and it comes to the United States.
Audi pulled the covers off on Thursday at the 2016 Paris Auto Show, and in the process probably unsettled the people over at Mercedes-AMG. That’s because the RS 3 is packing a turbo 2.5-liter inline-5 delivering a V-8-like 400 horsepower and 354 pounds-feet of torque. The rival Mercedes-AMG CLA45 has only 375 hp and 350 lb-ft from its turbo 2.0-liter inline 4.
Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and four-wheel drive system, the Turbo Five Rocket’s beautiful Rs 3 of 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds and see it easily reach a reigning 155 mph top speed. If you want to go faster, Audi says it will happily increase the limit to 174 mph.
The potent engine is not the only change over the regular A3 sedan. The RS 3 also benefits from a larger rail, retractable brakes, lowered suspension and unique settings for stability and traction control. As an option, Audi offers a more aggressive suspension melody with adaptive dampers.
There are also the aggressive bodies with pumped fenders adding so much as20 millimeter circumference to accommodate the wider range. At both ends are custom bumpers and the back you will also spot a trunk cover spoiler, a distinctive diffuser insert and large oval exhaust tips. The RS 3 also benefits from the exclusive color options Nardo Gray and Catalunya Red.

Inside, a dark-toned theme greets the driver and passengers with lighted sills with the “RS 3 ” name. Nappa Leather Sports seats with RS logos on the headrests, a flat steering wheel and RS logos on the dashboard are standard. Optionally available are more contoured RS sport seats with integrated head rests, as well as a digital instrument cluster.
The RS 3 will be confirmed to land in the local showrooms in the summer of 2017. It will probably arrive as a model 2018.
