2022 Audi RS3 as far as we know Audi presents a new generation of Audi A3 coming to the showroom soon, and once again it will spawn a sporty S3 and a high-performance RS 3 variant. It is very interesting for us to discuss it thoroughly.
We have found out from a number of sources that we have found a prototype for RS 3 in the guise of a Sportback hatchback that has been seen again, revealing many clues about the new performance compact.
An RS 3 sedan is also out testing and it is likely to end single RS style 3 bodies offered in the United States, as with the current generation.
The new A3 represents more of a major update of the current generation than a true redesign, and this will be the case for the RS 3 variant.

2022 Audi RS3 Redesign
The final design should resemble the Avant RS 6 that was recently revealed – and bound to the US, but on a smaller scale.
The new A3 is expected to reach the showroom later this year as a 2021 model. RS 3 must track it for about a year.
Potential competitors for RS 3 include the new AMG 45 series, as well as the future BMW M2 and CT4-V Blackwing from Cadillac.
Although the RS3 Sportback prototype that we saw at the end of January does not seem to boast a horizontal bar above the grid – unless it’s fully covered by camouflage – the production version will likely have it.
In building up to the A3’s reveal, Audi saw the S3 model as warm and hot hatched indeed having a Quattro’s nostril, so it made sense for the fatter RS3 to adopt the same look.
In addition, the new 2022 Audi RS3 Sportback should be a real monster in a compact segment once again thanks to its five-cylinder engine.
It will take a while before the RS3 Sportback comes out taking into account logic which tells us that the S3 will be disclosed first.
Both versions of the new Audi Sport A3 will spawn a sedan for North America where they will rival the Mercedes-AMG CLA 35 and CLA 45 models.

2022 Audi RS3 Engine
On the engine side expect the model to continue with the 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-5, although we can see output exceeding 400 horsepower of the current model now that the latest Mercedes-AMG compact delivers as much as 416 hp.
The dual-clutch transmission and rear bias all-wheel-drive system must also be part of the package.
We know of this prototype for 2022 Audi RS3 because of the enlarged intake at the front, wide wheel arches, large wheel and tire combos, and a pair of oval exhaust markings at the rear.
