Audi seems set to follow in the footsteps of Tesla and offer its new A9 as a luxurious electric model only. This new car, designed to compete with the tastes of the Mercedes S class coupe and upcoming BMW 8 series, will be the third in a series of all-electric vehicles from Audi to go on sale before 2020.
The German brand aims to increase the production of electric cars to represent nearly 25 percent of its total performance of 2025. This plan includes, alongside the new A9, a production version of the E-tron quattro concept-called Q6 e-tron-and a replacement for the current A3 generation E-Tron.

The new style A9 ‘s will be inspired by the elegant prologue concept car. Not only will it brag about the proportions as furtively, but it could be offered as a four-door sedan and an elegant braking shooting area alongside a conventional two-door coupé.
The Audi plans to equip the new A9 with three electric motors – one of the leading front wheels and two operating at the rear of the – on the basis of the 95kw/h battery. This is not only transmission offering impressive range of 310 miles, but the mounting of the battery, under the floor will allow Audi offers A9 with a wireless charging. This technology uses inductive charging plates built in special compartments for parking to replace the typical charging cable – by analogy with modern cordless phone chargers.
A9 will come with more advanced autonomous movement, than any car the German manufacturer currently offers. The new generation of A8 will be controlled independently on the highway at speeds up to 37km/h and is ideal for endless trips to a locked M25, but A9-x system should come with a set of skills. Inside there is a 3d version of the excellent virtual cockpit of Audi configurable dashboard. This incorporates even more technology than the virtual cockpit in the current Audi production and “intelligently” changes depending on how the car is driven.

It can also communicate directly with the driver and passengers through their smartphones, as well as automatically make changes to things like the route plan and climate control parameters according to Who’s aboard. We would also expect a fairly high degree of semi-autonomous self-driving technology to be available with the A9.
Style-wise, the inside of the prologue presents a new approach to minimalist design for Audi, combining the elegance that we have come to expect from the brand with even fewer buttons. Most of the features will be controlled by using one of the three touchscreens in the cab, through voice commands or remotely from a smartphone.
2020 Audi A9 Price
No official prices have been announced but we expect the A9 to be much more expensive than the current Audi A8 lighthouse. Entry-level models could bring you back at least £70 000, to close to £100 for Top-spec versions.
