Yes, there are some changes to the Audi Q8 2022 on each trim. The Premium trim gets 21-inch wheels, power-folding exterior mirrors with memory, rear side airbags, live tire pressure monitoring system.
Premium Plus Trim will add Audi Adaptive cruise assistance with traffic jam assistance, Audi Active lane assists with Emergency assistance, and the optional Executive package will add several new options. The Prestige Trim gets Adaptive air suspension and all-wheel steering as a stand-alone option.
2022 Audi SQ8 Review
The 2022 Audi SQ8 shares the chassis and powertrain with the Lamborghini Urus, so does that make it a cheap Lambo? Not exactly.
Despite offering 500 horsepower and being dressed like a performance SUV, the SQ8’s stance leans more towards the standard Q8 than the raucous Urus or the mechanically similar Q8 RS models (reviewed separately).
For some buyers, this middle ground would be perfect, as it delivers sporty optics and outstanding straight-line performance without compromising on comfort or everyday usability. Other performance-oriented SUVs, such as the Porsche Cayenne and Mercedes-AMG GLE-class, offer similar results but Audi’s cropped roof display provides great appeal.
Audi has made more driver-assist features standard on the SQ8 for 2022, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. All models now come with carbon fiber interior trim as standard, and the new Executive package adds heated rear seats, rear glass windshield, ventilated front seats, leather upholstery on more surfaces, HD matrix LED headlights and an ambient interior lighting system with multiple color choice.
Buyers can also opt for the new brake calipers painted red as a standalone option as well as the new Carbon Optic package, which includes unique 22-inch alloy wheels and black exterior accents.

2022 Audi SQ8 Interior
The interior of the 2022 Audi Q8 has a seating capacity of 5, unlike the 7-seater Q7 which shares the same platform with heated front seats. 8-way power seats are adjusted to 4-way power-lumbar on all trims. Tri-zone automatic climate control is standard on all trims.
The interior upholstery is leather which includes the drive mode selector and shifter and the interior trim is wood inlay. The optional package on the Q8 2022 adds ventilation and leather upholstery to the armrests.
There’s ambient lighting in all trims too. The slim Prestige does offer more features thanks to the luxury package option which adds ventilation as standard with the option of individual front contour seats with Valcona leather upholstery.
The back of the interior is as comfortable and spacious as the front. Despite the sloping roofline, there is enough headroom for tall people. The 2022 Q8 comes with 30.5 cu-ft of cargo space, making it practical too.
The standard infotainment system on the Audi Q8 2022 is a dual touchscreen system running on the latest Audi MMI interface. The top screen is a 10.1-inch touchscreen that performs all the infotainment system functions like navigation, smartphone connectivity, while the lower 8.6-inch bottom screen performs functions like climate control.
As is typical of Audi’s S models, the interior gets more standard features and more luxurious materials than the base vehicle. These include black accents on the cabin and seats with diamond stitching as well as carbon fiber trim and contrast stitching.
With seating to give, a spacious rear seat and ample cargo area are useful on road trips. Unfortunately, the interior cubby storage is subpar.

The 2022 Audi Q8 is one of those stylish vehicles and looks aggressive even for its stature as a family-friendly car. For 2022 even the Premium trim will get 21-inch alloy wheels and power-folding exterior mirrors as standard, getting a spectacular 8.7-inch ground clearance.
This is pretty good if you want to step off-road. In addition, there are 11 colors offered, 2 standard colors and 8 metallic colors, 1 pearl color choice.
The front fascia features a large single-frame grille between the sleek and modern headlights. When you move sideways, the silhouette it sculpts looks a lot like the Q7 but has a distinctive rear hump and adds a bit of “Sportback” style to it.
The rear gets a single LED taillight reminiscent of the Audi A8 L but adds a touch of its own to the mix. There are plenty of customization options including a wheel and optics package (exterior accents) to get one that suits your taste.
In terms of dimensions, the 2021 Audi Q8 is 2 inches longer than its competitors and the wheelbase is 3.9 inches longer than the Porsche Cayenne Coupe. The widest is the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 which is almost 6 inches wider than the Audi Q8. Some of the important features of the exterior are:

There are 4 drive models as part of the Q8, if you add adaptive air suspension during customization or get the Prestige trim, you get two additional driving modes, allroad and off-road which are specifically designed to take full advantage of the system’s full potential. Even with the new 21-inch alloy wheels, ride quality is less affected and will remain as smooth as ever.
Audi Q8 2022 does perform very well because it is able to sprint 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds. The quarter-mile takes a little longer at 14 seconds and will continue to reach an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph.
Along with this, the 2022 Audi Q8 can tow up to 7,700 pounds, which is the equivalent of 2 airflow trailers.
Compared to the others, the Audi Q8 is one of the best overall and offers an affordable price with a large amount and one of the fastest times in pure performance. The Mercedes AMG GLE 53 Coupe is the most powerful, and also one of the more expensive.
The company’s Q8 cousin, the Porsche Cayenne Coupe is underpowered and also 0-60 slower overall, and is even priced higher than the rest. The BMW X6 is unimportant and sits in the middle of everyone with its safe and tried and tested approach.
A twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 will power the SQ8, and will deliver 500 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. This model comes standard with Quattro all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
On our test track, the SQ8 sped to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, just 0.4 seconds behind the more powerful Lamborghini Urus—but mechanically similar. The SQ8 provides agile handling and athletic demeanor, but when it comes to comfort mode, the SQ8 exhibits family-friendly ride qualities, making it a true all-in-one vehicle.

2022 Audi SQ8 MPG
Buying a 2022 Audi Q8 and expecting a stellar MPG figure is like buying ice cream and hoping it won’t melt when you eat it. The V6 engine offers good performance and is most often “thirst”. It offers 18 MPG in the city, 23 MPG on the highway, and 20 MPG combined.
Couple that with the standard 22.5-gallon fuel tank and you get an overall range of 450 miles which seems a bit lacking in retrospect. The only drawback with the 2022 Q8 is that it doesn’t offer an optional larger capacity fuel tank. Even so, the Audi Q8 2022 is still relatively fuel-efficient.
Compared to the others, the BMW X6 has excellent MPG figures. The Porsche Cayenne Coupe may be the most underpowered, but it still offers better MPG figures than the Q8.
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe offers more power and offers the same fuel economy figures and driving range as the 2022 Audi Q8, showing that the Mercedes-AMG does indeed offer good fuel economy while offering nearly 100 hp more.
According to the EPA, the SQ8 is good for 15 mpg in the city, 21 mpg on the highway, and 17 mpg combined. However, we weren’t able to evaluate real-world mpg until we ran it on the 75 mph highway fuel-efficient route, which is part of our extensive testing regimen.
