2022 Audi Q3 The latest information we have obtained from some of the top media sites of the current revered Sedan Q3 production will soon be replaced by the all-new 2022 model the company skipped the 2021 model year.
From what we can tell so far the new Q3 will be a significant upgrade from the already delightful high-end sedan.
German rivals such as the BMW 2-series Gran Coupe and the Mercedes-Benz A-class sparked consumer appetite for small premium sedans so it’s no wonder Audi is doubling down on its compact car and giving it a richer interior, advanced technology, and a razor-sharp appearance.
The turbocharged four-cylinder engine, all-wheel drive, and several driver assistance features make the Q3 a desirable choice. We expect the Q3 to be launched in North America by the end of 2021 as a 2022 model.
Audi Q3 2023 entry-level cars are all new for 2022 and feature sharper styling and modern 2022 Q3 Interior technology.
The Q3 will be sold exclusively as a sedan in North America, while the Sportback hatchback model will be sold in Europe and other global markets.
2022 Audi Q3 Specs
Regarding the specifications of the Audi Q3, Audi has a new generation of Q3 that is heading to showrooms in late 2021 as the 2022 model. The new Compact is already on sale overseas and has recently spawned a plug-in hybrid option.
The electrified option is classified as 40 TFSI e and is currently only announced for the Q3 Sportback body style we may not see in the United States. However, options may be offered on the Q3 sedan.
The powertrain Q3 Sportback 40 TFSI e combines a 1.4 liter turbocharged inline-4 with an integrated electric motor in the frame of a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. The system develops 201 peak horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque and sends propulsion to the front wheels only. Audi quotes a time of 0-62 mph in 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 141 mph.
The previous-generation Q3 Sportback E-Tron featured an 8.8-kilowatt-hour battery that was EPA rated for a power range of 16 miles. The new Q3 Sportback 40 TFSI increases the battery size to 13 kwh, which will result in a wider range.

On the softer WLTP cycle used outside the US, the plug-in hybrid hatch is rated at 41.6 electric miles. The previous Q3 Sportback E-Tron on the same cycle was rated at about 30 miles.
Standard features on the Q3 Sportback 40 TFSI e include 16-inch wheels, LED headlights, a leather steering wheel, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen display. Complete a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster available. Sales of the Q3 Sportback 40 TFSI e outside the US begin this fall. Local Audi fans looking for a plug-in hybrid currently have options in the Q5, A7 Sportback, and A8 lines.
As for the regular Q3, it will arrive late next year in sedan form only and with a 2.0 liter turbocharged inline-4 mated to a light hybrid system and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Peak output is expected to be a little over 200 hp.
A 306-hp Audi S3 sedan with the same powertrain setup has also been confirmed, and a RS 3 sedan with around 400 hp produced by a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-5 is also likely to come.
2022 Audi Q3 Interior
Talking about the inside of the Audi Q3 we can see, Audi designers have used the quieter style of the larger A4 sedan and showcase a lot more personality. Two large air vents flank the car’s gauge screen, and sewn panels line the top of the dashboard.
The front seat shown in the photo is likely an optional sports seat but looks to feature faux-suede upholstery and upholstered seating.
The cargo space of small cars is usually not very large, but we expect the Q3 baggage to provide sufficient space for the transport of the average grocery store or weekend baggage for road trips.
The Q3 will feature a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen or an optional larger 12.3-inch unit. Fortunately, the Q3 ignores the brand’s new dual-screen setup that makes climate control and vehicle driving modes a digital affair.

Instead, those secondary controls are handled here by nifty old buttons. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit gauge digital display will also be standard.
This reconfigurable display is a popular feature across the Audi lineup and can display a large map in the center of the instrument cluster as well as other vehicle information, along with standard gauges for speed and rpm.
2022 Audi Q3 Engine
On the engine side, we can feel strong vibrations even though the European model will offer a wide range of powertrains, we expect the Q3 destined for North America to be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and be available with front or all-wheel drive.
A seven-speed automatic transmission is also likely to be standard fare. Audi has already mentioned a plug-in 2022 Audi Q3 Hybrid model, possibly using the name e-Tron, which might be available later. We haven’t tested the new Q3 propulsion yet, but we expect civilized road behavior, proper handling, and satisfying acceleration.
2022 Audi Q3 MPG
The EPA has yet to release any information on the estimated fuel efficiency of the Q3 2021, but to compete with its rivals the Class A sedan and the Gran Coupe 2 series it will need to increase fuel consumption to 35 mpg on the road.

2022 Audi Q3 Price and Release Date
As for pricing we’re guessing pricing here, but we expect the Q3 to be offered in the Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige trim like the other Audis currently on sale.
