2026 Audi Q7 Luxury Midsize SUV Review and Prices

2026 Audi Q7: The new design for the 2026 Audi Q7 is good news. There have been a lot of spy photos of prototypes in Scandinavia in the last few weeks, which means that Audi is getting ready to completely redesign its flagship SUV 10 years after the current model came out (and was updated in 2019 and early 2024).

This new generation might be significantly different, not just in how it looks, but also in how it works and what kind of engine it has. It should come in 2026 and might look like this.

The Q7 might get a little bigger, with a length of more than 5.07 m, a width of about 2 m, and a height of around 1.73 m. We also think that an LED light bar built into the tailgate and door handles that are flush with the body will help the car’s aerodynamics.

There should be some changes in how the base and S trims look, just like there were in the past. The S trim should be easy to spot because it sits a little lower, has gloss black trim, an exhaust that is easy to see, and unique bumpers.

2026 Audi Q7 Reviews

For 2026, Audi has moved some features from the Q7 lineup. The Premium variant comes with the Convenience Plus package, which includes a Bang & Olufsen radio system, a heated steering wheel, a 360-degree camera system, and ambient lighting in the cabin. It also has black exterior trim and 20-inch two-tone alloy wheels.

The mid-range 2026 Audi Q7 Premium Plus model comes with the V-6 engine and features like soundproof glass, ventilated front seats, heated back seats, four-zone automatic climate control, and doors that close automatically.

All 2026 Audi Q7 Prestige models now have OLED taillights and rear-wheel steering. The Prestige also comes with a new Sport Plus package or trim level. This option only lets you choose between a distinctive red or gray paint color and replaces all of the trim on the outside to black.

This package also comes with air suspension that has been optimized for sporty performance, comfy seats with ventilation and massage, and a more luxury leather interior with red accents.

2026 Audi Q7 Redesign

The 2026 Audi Q7 is both a sporty sedan and a useful SUV. It has three rows of seats, all-wheel drive, and two turbocharged engine options: a 261-hp four-cylinder and a 335-hp V-6. The 45 model has a four-cylinder engine and gets better gas mileage. The 55 model has a bigger engine and goes faster.

The 2026 Audi Q7 is very big, but it handles very well since it has rear-wheel steering and an air-sprung suspension. The inside is just as remarkable, with comfortable seats, high-quality materials, and a dashboard full with screens.

The third row is a little tight, but the Q7 can fit seven passengers, which is more than some mid-size competitors like the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE, which can only fit five.

2026 Audi Q7 Changes

The Premium trim is the newest addition to the 2026 Audi Q7 lineup. It comes with a new Convenience Plus Package that includes 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with a two-tone finish, Anthracite Gray Audi logos, dark chrome exhaust tips, the LED Interior Lighting Plus Package, and Black Optic exterior trim for the door slats, grille, roof rails, and window surrounds. The same option also includes a Bang & Olufsen Premium audio system with 3D, a heated steering wheel, and a top-view camera system with Virtual 360 vision for the front passenger seat.

The 2026 Audi Q7 55 Premium Plus trim also has dual-layer acoustic glass for the side windows, ventilated front seats, four-way power lumbar support for the front passenger seat, four-zone automatic climate control, heated rear seats, power soft-closing doors, and sunshades for the rear door windows and tailgate.

The 2026 Audi Q7 55 Prestige variant comes with new features such all-wheel steering, OLED taillights, and the Sport Plus Package. The Sport Plus Package comes with two unique exterior color options: Chili Red Metallic and Daytona Gray Pearl. It also comes with 21-inch alloy wheels with a five-spoke design and a two-tone finish (or optional 22-inch alloy wheels with a five-pronged platinum design), adaptive sport air suspension, Audi Anthracite badging, Black Optic exterior trim and roof rails, red brake calipers, and dark chrome exhaust tips.

The package includes Valcona leather seats with the Extra Leather Package, matte carbon twill inserts, Crimson Red stitching and seat belts, sport seats plus with ventilation and massage, and stainless steel coverings for the pedals.

For this model year, both the Q7 and SQ7 come with Traffic Sign Recognition as a standard feature.

2026 Audi Q7 Interior

The inside of the Q7 is modern, full of technology, and well-made. The material is of high quality, and the heated front seats are very comfortable and supportive. Depending on the trim level, they also have massage and ventilation capabilities.

Because of Audi’s strange 35/30/35 split, the middle seat in the middle row can fit either a child seat or the bottom of a thin adult. The bad thing is that the people in the outside seats have less room to sit.

Adults feel confined in the third row, both in terms of headroom and legroom. It’s ideal to lower the seats, which is easy to do with the click of a button.

The Q7 has 14 cubic feet of cargo space with all the seats in place. That’s not a lot, but when you fold down the back seats, it has 36 cubic feet, which is more than plenty. When all the seats are folded down, the Q7 has 70 cubic feet of space, which is enough for 25 carry-on bags.

Tech

The Q7 has a 10.1-inch touchscreen for entertainment and information that is right above the 8.6-inch digital temperature control panel. Some employees loved having two screens, but others thought it was distracting when driving.

A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is standard, as is a Wi-Fi hotspot. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are also standard.

Audio System: 10 standard stereo speakers, 19 optional stereo Bang & Olufsen speakers, and 23 optional stereo Bang & Olufsen speakers

2026 Audi Q7 Hybrid

Since December 2014, the second-generation Audi Q7 has been on the market and has had two cosmetic updates. These upgrades are important, but the SUV is starting to show its age and is not as attractive as recent models.

Audi’s third-generation Q7 will probably be the last one with an internal combustion engine. It should stay in production until about 2035. We expect the next-generation Q7 to be out in time to compete with the revised Mercedes GLE and the next-generation BMW X5.

Audi said at a press conference for its third-quarter 2025 financial results on October 31, 2025, that it would debut the next-generation Q7 in 2026. The next-generation Q7 and the inaugural Q9 are likely to be the last two models in the company’s line of more than 20 vehicles that it revealed in March 2024.

PPC Platform

The next-generation Q7, which is based on the PPC platform and is an updated and improved version of the MLB evo, is projected to have big advancements in electrification. It will come in both mild-hybrid (MHEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions. Automobile Woche says that this platform may also theoretically support a range extender (EREV).

We expect a new internal combustion engine, and all standard SUV models will include a 48V mild-hybrid technology to make them more efficient in worldwide markets.

Hibrida Plug-in

The PHEV is expected to have a bigger battery pack at the top end, maybe about 25 kWh, which would give it a longer all-electric range. This next-generation model could finally bring a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) option to the US, since the current Q7 doesn’t have one.

Audi said this year that plug-in hybrid vehicles will be a big part of its product line-up as it moves toward a completely electric vehicle selection. By the end of 2025, the company will add 10 new PHEV models.

The next-generation Audi Q7, which is a prominent model in the range, is projected to come with a PHEV version as its main offering.

Charging speeds will also get better, with DC fast-charging speeds estimated to reach 40 to 50 kW. The EPA thinks that the electric range might be more than 40 miles, which makes the hybrid version a better option for people who want to get to work every day without using gas.

2026 Audi Q7 Engine

The “45” models have a 261-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a 12-volt hybrid system. This powerplant has enough power to please most drivers. The Q7 55 has a 335-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine and a 48-volt hybrid system, so people who want more power should look at it.

2026 Audi Q7

The Q7 is big, yet it feels quick and nimble when it has high-performance tires, an air-sprung suspension, and Audi’s rear-wheel steering system. This combination makes for an SUV that is quite quick and entertaining to drive on winding roads, but it also stays very smooth and steady on extended highway trips.

  • Horsepower: 261 355 hp from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine 3.0-liter V-6 with a turbocharger
  • Automatic transmission with eight speeds
  • The drive system is all-wheel drive.

2026 Audi Q7 Payload

The four-cylinder Q7 can tow a trailer that weighs up to 4,400 pounds if you add the optional trailer hitch. Models with the V-6 engine can haul more, up to 7,700 pounds.

  • Maximum Towing Capacity: 4400 lbs for the I-4 engine and 7700 lbs for the V-6 engine.

2026 Audi Q7 MPG

The EPA hasn’t said anything about the fuel economy of the 2026 Audi Q7 yet, but the figures should be the same as the last generation. The four-cylinder vehicle from 2025 is expected to get 20 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. The Q7 with the V-6 engine is expected to get 18 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.

  • C/D Highway Fuel Consumption Test @ 75 mph: 26 mpg (before the Q7 upgrade, it was 45 mpg).
  • EPA City Fuel Consumption Rating: 18 to 20 miles per gallon
  • EPA Highway Fuel Consumption Rating: 23–26 mpg

Safety

Most of the driver assistance systems are included on the 2026 Audi Q7. You might choose to have a top-view camera system and smart parking technology.

  • Standard safety features include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and blind spot monitoring.
  • Optional safety features include a 360-degree video system and remote parking assist.

2026 Audi Q7 Price

The price of the 2026 Audi Q7 ranges from $63,890 to $83,590, depending on the specification and options. The Q7’s 45-liter four-cylinder engine doesn’t let you down, and it keeps the price down.

2026 Audi Q7 Release Date

Audi is likely to release the next-generation Q7 in the US in the second half of 2026. We think the company will sell this plug-in hybrid automobile for less than $80,000.

Audi said at the Annual Media Conference on March 18, 2025, that they will release 10 new models in North America by the end of 2026. They also said they were looking at different ways to make the automobile more suitable for North American customers.

Verdict

The 2026 Audi Q7 is a big step forward with a new look, better luxury, and more advanced hybrid technology. It also drives with confidence. Audi’s flagship SUV is a great mix of new ideas, efficiency, and fun to drive. We will keep adding new material to this post so that you are constantly up to speed. Don’t miss out!
